UKCuvva Cuvva Car Insurance – Claims, Cover & Accident Assistance
Find information about Cuvva motor insurance, how to report an accident, and the independent assistance available following a non-fault collision.

What to do immediately after an accident
Four things to do before you leave the scene. Your insurer will ask about all of them.
Make it safe
Stop, hazards on, and get everyone out of traffic. Call 999 if anyone is hurt or the road is blocked.
Swap details
Names, addresses, phone numbers, registrations and insurers of every driver involved. You must stop and give your details by law.
Record evidence
Photos of the road and all damage. Note the time, place and weather, and get any witnesses' names and numbers.
Don't admit fault
Stick to the facts. Fault is decided later by the insurers, based on the evidence.
Independent non-fault accident assistance
If you're a Cuvva customer and another driver caused the accident, our independent team can help you get back on the road.
- Accident assistance. Someone to talk you through what happens next, from the first call onwards.
- Vehicle recovery. If your car can't be driven, we can arrange for it to be recovered.
- Replacement vehicle. Where the other driver was at fault, a replacement car while yours is off the road, subject to eligibility.
- Vehicle repairs. Repairs at an approved garage, or you can choose your own repairer.
- Claims guidance. Plain explanations of how a non-fault claim works and what you'll need.
Eligibility. These services are for drivers who were not at fault. We'll check your situation first and explain any conditions and any agreement involved before anything is arranged. Nothing is arranged without your agreement.
If you were injured. We deal with hire and repair. The firm we pass your claim to can recommend solicitors who handle personal injury claims.

Cuvva accident and claims questions
What should I do immediately after a car accident?
Make the scene safe and call 999 if anyone is hurt. Exchange names, addresses, registrations and insurance details with the other drivers, take photos, note witnesses, and don't admit fault.
Can I get help after a non-fault accident?
Yes. If another driver was at fault, our independent team can arrange recovery, repairs and a replacement vehicle, subject to eligibility. Call 0333 344 7762.
What information will I need to report an accident?
Your policy number and registration, the date, time and place, what happened, the other driver's name, address, registration and insurer, photos, and any witness details.
Can I arrange a replacement vehicle?
If another driver was at fault, we may be able to arrange a replacement vehicle similar to your own while yours is off the road, subject to eligibility. Call 0333 344 7762.
What happens if another driver caused the accident?
The other driver's insurer should cover your losses. We can help you get your car repaired and keep you mobile while the claim is made against the driver at fault.
Will I lose my No Claims Bonus?
If the accident is shown not to be your fault and the other side pays, your No Claims Bonus is usually unaffected. If you were at fault, it may be affected unless you have No Claims Bonus protection.
Can I choose my own repairer?
Yes. It's your right to choose who repairs your car, although insurers may point you towards their own approved garages.
